Our Story

Abehinnyuen Community of Hope (ACOH), Inc. was born from a deep compassion and a divine calling to bring hope and restoration to Liberia after 14 years of civil conflict. During our visits from 2009 to 2012, we witnessed severe devastation, including, ruined homes and schools, failing healthcare, and communities struggling for basic needs. Moved by the suffering of children, widows, and the elderly, Lucky and I sought God’s guidance on how to create lasting change.

We began by sending essential supplies from the United States, but soon realized that true transformation required a holistic, faith-centered approach. The 2014 Ebola crisis further revealed the urgent need for community care, health education, and spiritual support. This experience solidified the vision for ACOH: a mission that goes beyond relief to empower communities physically, spiritually, and socially.

Formally established in 2017 in New York and Liberia, ACOH serves as a beacon of hope. Its name, “Abehinnyuen,” from the Bassa language, means “We can do it”, reflecting our belief in unity, faith, and collective action.

ACOH blends humanitarian service with spiritual renewal, promoting moral values, strong families, responsible citizenship, and resilient faith. Our programs address education, health, agriculture, spiritual formation, and social welfare, ensuring holistic support for individuals and communities.

Today, ACOH continues to grow as a Christ-centered movement dedicated to rebuilding lives and restoring hope. We envision communities with safe water, quality education, and strong spiritual foundations. We invite individuals, churches, and organizations to join us, because together, we can do it.

Our Mission
